how many pics can the memory card can hold on a canon power shot?

How many pictures can the canon power shot A470 take? its a 8 megapixel ok so the canon that my dad got came with a canon memory card sdc-32m how many pictures can i take with that? what would be better to get and where?

That is a tiny card. You can buy 4 GB cards for under $9. I would suggest you buy two and carry a spare.

The 32 MB is just something to get you going until you can buy something that matches your needs.
