Is the PS3 a good way to organise a digital movie collection?

I dont really have any interest in the games, i have a PS2 and havent played a game on it in over a year. I mainly want to have 2 500gb usb hard drives of movies that i can easily watch on my tv. Not sure how the PS3 would handle all the menus etc, but the fact it has a bluray player is why im looking at it. I currently can only play bluray on my laptop which is a bit of a pain.

the PS3 is great for blue ray as well as storing all your movies.

It is the best media center available I would say. I swapped the HDD from a 80GB to a 500GB and I have over hundreds of movie files and I love it.

your right doing the suff thru a laptop is a pain that’s what makes having the PS3 so convenient.
